What to Expect

Practical information

Your first visit

We’re excited to welcome you at Vettä. If this is your first time visiting, or your first time going to a Finnish spa, you may not know quite what to expect. That’s all right – we’ve put together a guide full of everything you need to know to make your day at Vettä unforgettable.
What to bring

Your day at Vettä will require very few personal belongings. We recommend bringing a comfortable bathing suit (bathing suits are required in all areas of the spa), a reusable water bottle, sunglasses, sandals, government issued I.D, original credit card and, if you like, a good book!

Please note that mobile phones and other electronic devices must be kept in your locker and are not permitted in the spa area.

Health Conditions

The nordic spa experience involves alternating between hot and cold. This may not be suitable for those suffering from high or low blood pressure, diabetes, or cardiac arrhythmia. The hydrotherapy cycle may not be recommended for pregnant individuals due to the temperature changes. Please consult your health care provider.

Note: that intense heat can damage the anti-glare coating on glasses.

No wallet required once on-site

When you check-in, you’ll be given a waterproof electronic wristband. This will open your locker and will also be used to pay for your purchases on-site. Leave your wallet in your locker and enjoy a touchless purchase experience.

Please note: We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items during your visit.

Bistro Etiquette
  • Your electronic bracelet is equipped to pay for anything at SAVU bistro. If you’d like to add funds to your bracelet, please ask one of our staff at the reception desk.
  • Wearing a robe and sandals are mandatory in our bistro
  • Outside snacks and drinks (other than water) are not allowed
