My first visit to Vettä Nordic Spa was such a wonderful experience. Slipping into the cozy robe and moving between the pools, sauna, steam room, fire areas, and peaceful relaxation rooms created the perfect atmosphere to unwind. I loved that I could share the experience with friends. It was great to have time to socialize as we moved through the spa together, while still being able to enjoy quiet moments of relaxation when desired. The scents throughout the spa were incredible, eucalyptus, citrus, and the subtle smell of the fire along with soft background music adding to the atmosphere. One of the nicest surprises was the salt treatment. It felt like a complimentary mini treatment, and my skin was unbelievably soft afterward. Lunch on site was delicious, and it was lovely to enjoy a cocktail while dining. Even the showers were spotless and the toiletries smelled amazing, every detail perfect. I left feeling completely relaxed and I’ll admit, I even teared up reading the departure message on the door. It was the perfect day of rest and reset.

I bought the April membership with support of my medical team (I’d been thinking about it but wasn’t sure if it was too frivolous). Each day I would carve out 2-3 hours to sit in my own thoughts and care for my mind and body at Vetta. Despite some less respectable visitors on some days (you can’t get true quiet unless you are alone) what made each day was the staff. Every single staff member that I met greeted me with a smile and worked hard to help visitors. I loved being greeted by the staff at the front desk (I became a familiar to face and so did they!) and the staff on the grounds were just invisible enough but also there if you needed them. I will definitely be back next year for April (spring planting through to harvest will keep me away until then). Thank you for making a local girl feel right at home at Vetta!

Really great space, loved all the amenities. Appreciate that there were more talkative and quiet options. Most places you are silenced the whole time. I was able to actually have a nice visit with friends without feeling guilty and shushed the entire time. I also didn’t mind hearing other people talking around me. Everyone was respectful of the space and keeps their voices low anyway. It is actually more relaxing to not feel on edge and worry about getting in trouble from staff while you are a paying customer. Really great experience! Will be back.

Fantastic sauna options, gave a real Finnish feel, and I liked that participants are allowed to add water at their convenience. I also think having both a quiet and social zone is fantastic idea. A small, minor improvement might be to see at least one medium temp pool somewhere in the 20C zone. Food prices were amazing and the quality was excellent, that alone will bring me back for sure! I feel that your competitors are over charging for the food and it leaves a bad feeling.

Fabulous experience. Not crowded at all. Super fast check-in! All staff we interacted with were helpful, friendly and professional. Food is incredibly delicious in the cafe. I LOVE that you do NOT allow alcohol and drinks anywhere except the cafe. Other spas e.g. Nordik in Quebec and a couple of spas I have been to in Ontario, now allow alcohol in the pools and all over the grounds and it has destroyed the spa like feeling and has become party central. I LOVE that you have a quiet area and an area you are permitted to chat. I hope you always prevent people from drinking anywhere but the cafe! Vetta Spa truly feels like a tranquil, relaxing and beautiful get away (as a spa should)! Keep up the fabulous work!

I had an amazing solo visit. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful, and the locker room staff were awesome. They helped other visitors with their lockers and even replaced my robe when someone took it. The ground staff were respectful and timely when stocking wood. They even asked if I wanted more steam, which made my solo visit feel less scary. My massage was the best I’ve ever had. I’ve had many massages over the years, but after receiving a massage by Susan last year, I was super excited to go back to see her yesterday. From the moment I walked up the stairs and smelled the wood smoke, I knew it was going to be a special experience, and it didn’t dissapoint. Unplugging from the phone, relaxing in hot spaces, amazing food/drink to recharge, and cold plunge/buckets to reset the system was bliss. Late:

Wellness Classes Bookings: Guests are welcome to start with the hydrotherapy anytime after 9AM.

  • The Sound Bath Class has a strict on-time policy. Entry is not permitted once the class has begun, as late arrivals may be disruptive to the meditative atmosphere. Participants are required to be in the Mina building at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, and no refund or store credit will be provided.
  • The Moving Meditation Class requires participants to be in the Suvi building at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. A grace period of up to 10 minutes after the class begins may be permitted. After this time, the reservation will be forfeited, and no refund or store credit will be provided.

 

Cancellations/Changes:

Cancellations/Changes must be requested by email (info@vettaspa.com) or phone (705-835-1500).

Cancellations (48+ hours before reservation): Eligible for a full refund to the original payment method.

Cancellations (24–48 hours before reservation): Refunds will be issued as a Vettä Spa credit for use towards future services.

Cancellations (within 24 hours of reservation): Subject to a $20+HST cancellation fee, with the remaining balance refunded as a Vettä Spa credit for use towards future services.

Reservation changes (within 24 hours of reservation): Subject to a $20+HST change fee.

No-shows (no call/email notification): No refunds or changes allowed; the full reservation amount will be charged.

Late:

At Vettä, we strive to provide a seamless and relaxing experience for all our guests.
During busy and peak times, locker availability is limited, and guest experience is
important. To ensure fair access and minimize disruptions, Vetta reserves the right to
the following:

  • Regardless of circumstances, must check in within your 25 minute arrival window.
  • Arrivals after the 25 minute window will be subject to a late fee of $20+HST.
  • If you check in more than 1 hour late, you will forfeit your appointment without
    reimbursement.
  • No early check-ins permitted.

 

Cancellations/Changes:

Cancellations/Changes must be requested by email (info@vettaspa.com) or phone (705-835-1500).

Cancellations (48+ hours before reservation): Eligible for a full refund to the original payment method.

Cancellations (24–48 hours before reservation): Refunds will be issued as a Vettä Spa credit for use towards future services.

Late:

Please arrive on site a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your scheduled massage to allow time to complete your health questionnaire and prepare for your treatment. Arriving late will impact the amount of allotted time for your massage treatment.

  • For a 9AM massage treatment, check-in is at 8:45AM.
  • For any other time massage treatment, guests are welcome to start with the hydrotherapy anytime after 9AM.

 

If you check in late on site, regardless of circumstances, a 15-minute grace period applies from your scheduled massage start time. After this window, the appointment will be forfeited without reimbursement and a $100 late/cancellation fee will apply.

Guests may arrive to their massage in a robe or in their clothes. Your massage therapist can provide a robe for changing after your treatment.

Cancellations (within 48 hours of reservation): A $100+HST cancellation fee will be applied, with the remaining balance refunded as a Vettä Spa credit for use towards future services.

No-Shows (no call/email notification): No refunds or changes allowed; the full reservation amount will be charged.

Vettä is open year-round, rain or shine. Our facilities are designed so you can enjoy the Nordic Spa experience regardless of the weather. Weather forecast/conditions do not affect your reservation, and Vettä does not offer compensation for inclement weather.

We’d like to share a little Vettä secret: rainy days are quieter and truly magical. Cozy relaxation areas, along with our hot saunas and baths ensure you stay comfortable and relaxed.

Please note that in the event of lightning or thunderstorms, outdoor pools will be temporarily closed in accordance with Health Regulations. All other amenities will remain available.

Your reservation may also be affected by unexpected operational issues (e.g., power outages). In such rare circumstances, Vettä may need to cancel or modify your reservation. If your visit- including hydrotherapy, relaxation, and any food & beverage time, but excluding massage time- exceeds three hours due to these issues, no compensation will be provided.
